Propolis is a substance derived from resins collected by bees from the young shoots of some trees. Its main constituents belong to the flavonoid class. It is to these components that propolis owes its most important properties: bactericidal, bacteriostatic, anti-inflammatory, healing and anesthetic. Honey with Propolis (rosemary honey with 3% Propolis) is recommended in cases of respiratory tract affections, mouth sores and skin or mucous membrane lesions.
