THE ORIGIN OF CHEESE BREAD
The origin of cheese bread is still uncertain. The recipe was reported to have been created in Minas Gerais in the eighteenth century, when farm cooks used cassava flour in their bread recipes instead of wheat flour. They cooked and, along with the flour, were added the leftover and hardened cheeses. At the time, it was customary to grab a piece of the delicacy and eat right after meals. So the cooks also mixed eggs and milk, rolled up the dough and baked. So, by chance, the rolls were created.
